Eurovision Fan Contest is an online song contest, based on the hit TV show, Eurovision Song Contest. It was founded on June 8th, 2013 and the first edition was held on
July 2013 in Stockholm, Sweden. The executive producer
and the founder of the contest is ESCNickSweden. EFC -as usually stylized- has started to become one of the biggest contests on YouTube. The highest record of participants is 54, the number of
participants in Chania, Greece (August 2015)
In June 2013, ESCNickSweden decided to make a new project so as to get more into the spirit of Eurovision. So, in July 2013, the first edition of Eurovision Fan Contest went online. "Eurovision" is refered to the real song contest and "Fan" to all the Eurovision fans that want to participate. The goal of the contest is to get the YouTube fans into the Eurovision spirit a bit more.
The format is the same with the Eurovision Song Contest, with some more adjustments. One player from YouTube chooses any country of the world, together with the song that he/she wants to
participate. The artist that he/she chooses must be born on or be living in the country the player participates with. All players must vote on the (semi)final, or else they will get disqualified,
a rule that will begin in January 2015. The voting system is: 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 point(s). The voting procedure begins after the recap is uploaded on the official YouTube channel
of the contest. At the end of the month, the results video is uploaded and the winner is declared as the song with the most points. The programme is invariably opened by one or

Host country

because of lack of money, another country gets the right to host the edition the winning country would do.
Eurovision Fan Contest logo
The first logo that was used in the contest is the top picture. It was a simple "Gotham" logo, that later looked unattractive. So it changed on Spring 2014. The second logo, pictured in the centre, was made by the official EBU Eurovision logo and the "FAN CONTEST" was written with Gotham. But in October 2014, after the new official Eurovision vignette logo was released, the logo changed permanently into the one pictured in the bottom. It is made with the vignette Euovision logo and "FAN CONTEST" is written again in capital Gotham.
